If I Have Enough Mulch Around My Plants, But The Mulch Is Silver What Can I Do To Add Come Color To The Area?

Should I buy a few bags of new mulch and spread around? I have about 1.5 yards that has silver-ish color mulch and I want to add color so it looks better. I have about 3 inches of mulch still left over from last year that turned silver.

Yes, just put new mulch over the old mulch.

don’t add the old mulch on there that’s a bad idea , simply because the mulch turned colors on you , that means it was not processed right, so what you need to do is replace the mulch you have with something like red wood mulch or pine mulch both of the those give out an aroma that make you feel like your in the mountains. and they provide extra shade for the mixture of dirt so water is retained better Good Luck to you

  • Dustin says:

You could edge the area with a 2-high retaining block wall.
