Place a couple of pounds of compost or aged manure in a burlap bag. Then let it sit a couple of days in a bucket of water (outside) until the water turns brown. Then remove the bag. Strain the “tea” if you are using it in a sprayer.
Using actively managed compost that has heated sufficiently and turned evenly to kill weeds and most pathogens carried into the pile. I really really like compost made from fall leaves for my tea.
Use one part compost to 3 parts water. I use an old rubbermaid drinking jug 1/2 gallon. I mix by shaking the water and compost together, then shut it up tight and let it sit for 5 days. After five days I plug my nose, pour it through a sieve and then put it all into spray bottles and use it.
I have had great success with spraying foliarly. It has helped suppress alot of “sucking” bugs and the diseases they transmit while going from field to field.

Always test your tea. I burned up part of an area!
Are you talking about feeding your worms?
As in vermiculture? Do you have a worm composter in your house? If so, the tea you want to make is all your vegetable matter. NO dairy or meat of any kind. Coffee grounds are good, too. The finer the material you put into the worm bed, the easier the worms can eat it. If you use a blender to break down the really big, hard stuff that won’t break down easily on it’s own, that’s better for the worms.
One caveat though, do not put onions or citrus rinds in the worm bed. The volatile oils in them can harm the worms.
You can also put shredded newspaper in the worm bed. They do need to have some dirt in the beginning, mixed with the other debris. And the worm castings will have to be sorted out of the bed at some point. The castings are the worm poop, but this is what you are composting with worms for. The castings are the best fertilizer there is.
