Has Anyone Ever Put Mulch Down In Their Yard Or Gardens To Replenish It?
I am helping a relative re-mulch their yard after 3 years (they had it done professionally 3 years ago), any suggestions on how to have good turn out on this project? I am open to any and all suggestions.

I used to live in NJ and stopped using it. the house had termites and eventually it was abated. an exterminator told me mulch is the worst thing for pests. the dampness it creates is great for breeding pests.
so if these people have a problem, long term I would get rid of the mulch and just leave natural soils.
If the old mulch is still in place, you need to rake it and re spread it. Mulch, if not moved around, will become impervious to rain and water because it becomes a solid mass. By moving it around, you break the surface which will allow water to percolate through.
