Eko Organic Original Soil Mix 8 Quart Bag of Potting Soil

EKO Mix is a unique blend of EKO compost, Canadian sphagnum peat moss, and perlite. It promotes lush foliage and healthier plants; producing higher yields and more vibrant colors. It's organic and ready-to-use. EKO Mix has just the right balance of macro- and micro-nutrients necessary for healthy plant growth. It helps promote strong root structure, lush leaf development, and more numbers of flowers per plant. It retains moisture for fewer waterings, which helps when vacation time comes around. The original EKO compost was developed in 1977 in Missoula, Montana. Helps promote rich organic soil, vigorous root growth, water infiltration and drainage, and pH balance. Improves the soil's physical, chemical, and biological health. Composting in theory is remarkably simple -- just mix organic matter with water and plenty of oxygen, and let the microorganisms do the rest. Yet, if it were truly that simple, there wouldn't be such a wide disparity between composts. Some are rich in trace minerals, organic matter, and billions of beneficial microbes. Others may be virtually dead, either ""burnt"" by improper processing or composed of little more than inert wood by-products. That's why EKO Compost is one of the Charter Members of the United States Composting Council's Seal of Testing Assurance Program. Every batch of EKO compost is rigorously tested to ensure that it meets and exceeds all process and product standards, including the United States Environmental Protection Agency's Class A ""Exceptional Quality"" compost, good for unrestricted use including food crops. 8 quarts (.3 cubic feet)- fills about 3 21"" x 10"" trays or 6 planting pots.
