I bought this thinking I may or may not use it very much, but it has turned out to be quite a useful tool. It's very good at loosening up compacted dirt and spreading compost around the flower beds. Also, it was a lifesaver when I needed to dig out small rocks & pebbles that were 5 inches deep in the dirt. Without it, the job would've taken me forever.

This tool is very well made and I recommend it to anyone needing a good cultivator.

I purchased this fork from Amazon with no problems. It works fine. I have always used a claw foot cultivator and this one has straight tines. The tool is heavy and appears to be of good quality. I use it a lot and think it was a good investment.

This soil scoop works in dirt, sand or clay. The serrated edges will cut weeds or a small root if necessary. And the scoop is a good size for holding soil. I love it! And I think it makes a very thoughtful gift for any gardener.

I have a condo with a small and overly beautiful garden. This little moon shaped scoop, a pair of scissors and me - that's the "crew". I own no other garden tools. I don't want/need any more. Where would I put them? In my tiny garden this little tool can till the soil, remove weeds, cut roots, dig holes, open bags, remove rocks, make furrows, plant plants and pick up poop. What more could a girl want? ................. a pair of scissors.

You can't go wrong with a Fiskars product, and this is no exception. This little hand shovel is well worth the price. Very comfortable, nice sized, large scoup.

5 Stars Strong, Comfortable Grip, Lightweight Design
I use this heavily to till the soil in my flower beds because of its broad shoulders and sharp point. Although its used mostly for troweling, it's narrow enough to be used for planting and broad enough for transplanting. I have a tool for every job but I find this is the only digging tool I really need to bring along. If you're debating which type of hand digger to get (planter, transplanter, troweler, etc.), I would stick with this troweler

The handle is very comfortable, important when jabbing it into the ground repeatedly to loosen the soil. The wooden tools I've used in the past have been very hard on my hands but, I come away with no pain with this design.

The polished alumnium is VERY strong, light weight, mostly scratch resistant and does not rust. The textured material on the handle does collect dirt and has to be scrubbed to get clean.

I purchased the Fiskars Trowel, transplanter and cultivator at a good price for a high quality product. Love them.

1 Star Broke during the first use
The first time I used this trowel it broke in two! It snapped where the blade attaches to the handle. It looks like it is solid metal entering the handle but it's actually hollow, filled with something gritty that resembles cement. I expected much better from Fiskars. I ended up buying a Craftsman trowel from Sears which is much better quality and was no more expensive than the Fiskars.

2 Stars Broke, not as strong as looks
This trowel looks great, nice soft touch handle and is aluminum so it won't rust.. so why 2 stars? I have used it only a few times, and it did reasonably well, then, all of a sudden it shattered at the handle. Usually trowels will bend, but the aluminum scoop is over what looks to be some kind of carbony shaft that attaches to handle, and it just snapped in two... I think if you use this in any kind of clay/rocky soil you would be better off going with something forged. good luck!

A real nice high quality shealth, I bought it when I bought the soil knife, I later found I do not use it. I do love the soil knife but put it with my other trowels bucket, I mean why would I put it in this nice shealth when most the time it is dirty.

5 Stars The perfect gift for a loved gardener
I bought this rather interesting tool for my wife after she asked me (to my horror) if she could use one of my fine kitchen knives in her garden to cut some roots. This three in one tool is now part of her ensemble whenever she ventures out to her garden - which is almost daily. It acts as a small shovel, a knife (for those roots, I suppose) and a saw of some sort. It seems that every trip to the garden demands at least one use of this device.

I saw this product in a magazine displaying the herbal trio as an organizer for the desktop. I fell in love with the green color and the idea was inspiring for my office. Pots are extremely attractive, but much smaller than I was imagining they would be...but for an inside herb garden, I guess that could be a plus. I have not planted the seeds that come with it, I bought these to plant cat grass and cat nip for my kitties. Aside from wishing they were a smidge bigger, I am pleased with this cute little set.

I ordered this but was a little anxious from some of the other reviews that I had seen, but it is great. The seeds sprouted and, now, I have 3 plants that are 3-4 inches tall! It is a very nice looking set and the drip tray is important. The tray makes it easy and neat to water--no spill--and provides humidity. Really happy with this purchase!
